First Blues-Fest Experience
Well in all the years of living in the city Ottawa I have never gone to blues-fest. I have walked by to the climbing gym, dated a girl who was in charge of organizing the event, and been told straight up it is the party of the summer here in town. Comparable to any rave or rock n roll concert you’ll find everything from families and children to groups showing up everyday. Unfortunately while stage lighting doesn’t bother me when I am behind the lens the supervisor wouldn’t let me in for any main event cause I have too good a camera. “No media pass”? luckily I thought right, “I geared up grabbed my camera gear, so why not shoot”. I Left blues fest and kinda tried to get some sun set shots. My adventure then led me to meeting some long boarders. Asked if it was cool to shoot. And then the light disappeared and I was grained out. I then walked back to blues fest and luckily Blue rodeo hit the spot with there mellow ballads; then found ‘Atrak’ out back and no gear check. Opened my bag walked in and started taking more photo’s.
Ottawa Historical sites
Most well known for being known as Canada’s capital, Ottawa is most known for the Rideau Canal, parliament hill, the locks, and Gatineau park. This is my view of the capital and the heritage behind the City that I live in. I revisited Capital Hill 3 or 4 times until I finally got some pleasing conditions.Tour de Bloc – Coyote Competition

Apparantly early Sunday night friends crashed over a curb and into a field near the corner of Innes and Navan rd.
Mark’s First post:
Hey everyone. Welcome to my blog. For the last 2 years I’ve been attending Algonquin college studying first Marketing then Photography. I first starting having an interest in taking pictures as a serious thing when there was a mandatory art credit needed in high school. It was a blast! Dark room, film rolls, black and white, and some digital edits. No real interests sparked after high school except for work and slowly finding my way back into film. A gym partner while in Business Marketing who had a degree in Journalism re-sparked and encouraged me to get back into taking pictures. Trying to put together some type of shoot and even just going out and shooting scenic HDR’s would occupy my time and had advantages with Marketing classes. The Next semester I was first year Photography student. I am originally from British Columbian but call Ottawa home and have been here for 12 years now. I look forward to shooting everyday and always can find opportunities to surround myself with photography.
Mark.
